Guys is there a decent plastic Battery Box that will fit to a Superb Mk3, instead of the cardboard/cloth that covers the battery?

Just a sidenote: IMHO the cardboard / cloth cover acts as a heat insulator, part of the "energy saving" measures. A plastic bin might not have the same insulation properties.

Personally I don't go round showing off my battery cover so it does not matter how it looks.

 

For the record the material on some battery boxes is designed to neutralise acid spills so fitting non-standard would we a bad idea.

Agreed, and looking at that picture makes me wish back to the days when you could see and work anywhere around the engine - and they were a lot easier to self-service!
