Own a 2005 2.0 Octy PD BKD engine code have noticed a weird engine noise when come off the motorway after dropping the mother in law at the airport.

 

Not too sure how to describe the noise it's kind of blunt clank as if air was escaping somewhere however it also sounds like a squeak have noticed the tensioner is vibrating like hell on the belt. Not sure what to make of it. Have included two audio files perhaps someone can shed a bit more knowledge on this one.

Think I found what the issue is: 

 

Sounds like a tensioner and alternator pulley replacement!

 

Now can I drive the car until I order the parts etc?

Replaced the aux belt tensioner which has cured the noise I can still hear the alternator pulley chattering have ordered one as well but someone else will have have to swap it out for me as I dont have the tools to do it....
