Sometimes when the car is warm, and I am sitting in idle (park or neutral dsg), I can feel engine vibrations going through the whole car, plus the rev needle is jumping little bit up and down.

 

What could this be?

Petrol or diesel.

i have it in my diesel, normally when the car is doing a re-gen thingy, only noticeable when the car is stationary and my kids are not cage fighting in the back.

Its diesel.

 

Its not doing a regen, revs are not around 1k, they are at normal idle, however needle still fluctuates little bit up and down.
