MFSW Not working?

Featured Replies

From time to time the menu scrolling feature on my Octavia 3 MFSW does not respond or only responds intermittently.

Can be scrolling away on RH control, sometimes MaxiDot changes immediately  (1 or 2 clicks) other times 45 seconds other times nothing, give up and try another day.

Problem with the wheel?

Software problem?

or

Am I overlooking something blindingly obvious?

Anyone experienced similar?

What was the solution?

Thanks

If the maxi dot always responds to other buttons instantly, it's a faulty scroll wheel.

+1

I get this too occasionally. Faulty scroll wheel, I know others have had replacements under warranty. Will be reporting mine asap.

Have managed to upload a very short video clip here - hopefully still enough to demonstrate the problem.

Can anyone think of any conceivable reason for this other than a faulty scroll wheel?

Or do you think this is evidence of a fault with said scroll wheel?

I do have a similar, much longer, but no more exciting, clip but it exceeded file size limit for site.

Thanks

There have been quite a few member on the site had problems with a faulty scroll Wheel.

This would be my first place to look.

If your car is in warranty drop it into the dealers, I'm sure its quite quick to change.

Scroll Wheel has now been replaced under warranty.

Seems OK now but fault was intermittent so can't be 100% sure it is gone for good.
