Smartphone SatNavs to get centimetre-perfect GNSS receivers in 2018

Featured Replies

I suppose the idea is that it can tell you if you're in the wrong lane...

Feature request: make it so all satnavs gently encourage the driver to get out of the middle lane...

absolutely

Lane assist, adaptive cruise and micro-gps - could all add up to a far better travel experience.

I was in Germany yesterday and the rental car had DSG and adaptive cruise. Very impressive on the Autobahn, although I suppose it only really makes sense if you have the DSG to go with it...

I think it would still be nicer than standard cc on a manual.

What speed did you set it for on the autobahn?

It was a Ford Kuga, cruising at 160kph. It didn't feel too stable above that...

I suppose at that speed you wouldn't have been slowed down by much anyway.

My BMW morotbike (K1200LT) is a tourer and not a race bike: 115mph max on cruise control and unless I came up behind a VW van I rarely had to slow at that speed. Mind you getting into the outside lane when they pass you at 160 and you can't speed up is not fun
