Can I pick the collective hive mind? 

 

I'm due to take delivery of my new Kodiaq next week. It's on a PCH lease. The lease company have passed on a message from the dealer saying that they can only set up Skoda Connect if I go to collect. 

 

That's not necessarily that convenient as they're nowhere near me, so I've asked what the alternatives are. 

 

Do you think a local dealer would be willing and able to set this up for me instead? I'm actually going to a local dealer tomorrow for my Octy's service so I shall ask them but I thought it would be handy to see if any of you other PCH-ers had a similar experience?

OK seems I might be confused here by what I've read... I'm now being told I can do it all myself without dealer involvement! If only test drives worked that way...

Yes you can do it all yourself.

set up an account and it tells you what to do.

All you really need is link the VIN number to it.

Dealer didn't do mine it was very easy to do.

Indeed it was easy. I just wanted out of the dealers as fast  as I could and my man agreed that I wouldn't have any difficulty doing it at home.

 

Though I find it simply a neat gimmick while it lasts.

Thanks everyone. Glad it was just me being dim. I guess I'll find out how easy it is shortly as my bear is due to arrive tomorrow. As Borat would say, "very excite"!
