Citigo pollen filter replacement problem

Featured Replies

Hi, has anyone on the forum done a diy replacement of the pollen/cabin filter, for this sort of job I normally consult Youtube, unfortunately the only video I could find on this was in german. I’ve located the filter housing under the glovebox but I so far have been unable to remove the cover to replace the element. There are 2 pairs of plastic lugs, one at each end but no matter how hard I pull on them it will not budge, can anyone help please ?

Clips should be rather both side, and back end of the cover.

Edit: Let's hope this helps:

Thanks for the info, after a little more hunting round online I found a picture of the securing clips which are above the 2 lugs at the front of the cover, they’re difficult to get at unless you have very slim fingers but after a bit of a struggle I managed to get it off. The filter was very grey so definitely needed changing.

Throughput of the heating and ventilation system is at least 30% better now.

I should probably update that as I worked it out in the end :D

"Front of the cover" would be in the direction where front licence plate is. Is that where you found them?

By front I meant the end closest to me, there’s a small gap between the cover and the bottom of the dash panel, sorry for the confusion.
