I was looking at the Kodiaq to replace the Octavia (1.6tdi 105ps) - It's only going to be commuting (and occasionally dogs + family)  and so was looking at the 1.4 SE 125ps  rather than the 1.4 150ps.  I'm not bothered too much about speed  and would it expect it to be similar performance to the Octavia - but I'd be interested to know if anyone has test drove one.  I know that the mpg won't be as good

 

 

Hi I own one and it’s quite a smooth ride but some bumps can unsettle it plus I think it could do with tuning up to 150-160bhp. I have achieved 48 av mpg with a tight engine with almost 500 miles on it.

I think the 150PS unit would use the same gas as the 125PS in the real world as it wouldn't have to work as hard as the less powerful unit. Happy to be corrected though.
