Im in need of replacing the gearbox on my mk2 2006 vrs tfsi as the synco into 3rd is "crunchy"

I think its a gvt gearbox (yet to be confirmed)

Is it straight forward? 

Any tips are appriciated 

I have done a box change on a mondeo years ago so should be fine 

Are there any tools il need that may not have...

If you can do a mondeo a octavia will be a walk in the park. Recommend taking the offside gearbox flange out (6mm allen key, makes the box easier to lift out) the box is rather heavy aswell so you will more than likely need a hand.
