MPH Display

Featured Replies

Hi

I have just collected my L+K 280ps (automatic) and was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is possible to show digital MPH and current MPG.

Cheers

Dont think it can be done in either the MFD (Data screen between Speedo and Rev counter) or Columbus screen

As a suggestion - use Waze to obtain speed via Android Auto to Columbus and set MFD to show the MPG

Some where on here I have seen a mod that can be done that gives an extra display to the Columbus that the Kodiaq has but not the Superb - not sure if this would give you what you want. Someone may be able to answer this.

If you have maxidot - yes. MPG as standard. MPH as a hack

It can be done, however you'll need to use VCDS to change the car's country to somewhere like Australia.

It's intentionally not an option via the MFD on UK based cars.

If you mean can you see those in the maxidot display then yes you can.

Select CAR button on the infotainment screen.

Then select 'settings' (the cog wheel).

Then scroll down to 'Instrument panel'

You can then select a number of items including  'digital speed' and 'current consumption' from the menu. These will then be available by scrolling the mini wheel on the right hand side of the steering wheel. You simply scroll thru whatever you have previously selected in the infotainment section above. You can only see one at a time but it is very simple to just flick the scroll wheel to change them

The new style display has the same options that can be displayed.

Again that was for the MKII, the MKIII has the big MPH display as std.

^^^ This

Harry, if you meant the MPH and MPG displays both showing at the same time on the maxidot, then no it’s not possible,

what is possible is for the speed to be on the maxidot and the average mpg for the trip showing on the infotainment screen

Hi

Thanks very much for all your rapid and helpful responses. Much appreciated - saved me a lot of head scratching.

I took the easy route suggested by sagalout and that worked fine.

BTW - I am impressed with the car up to now.  I have been a Jag owner for the last ten years (S-Type, XK8, XK, XKR, XJR, XE and XF Sportbrake) and it compares very favourably.  Even better in some areas.  I bought it because it was the 2017 Estate car of the year and between 25 and 30k cheaper than the new XF sportbrake for a similar spec.
