Hello,

Could someone please tell me what the clock and a number 1in the top left means ?

Thanks.

From memory, '1' is the short term reading for whichever option you have displayed - in this case driving time?

Option '2' should be cumulative up to a certain amount.

I think that's for trip times. There's two banks if you will so you can track two trips 1 & 2.
On the right stork, the two switches on the very end cycle info, the button on the underside of the stock I think switches between trip 1 and trip 2.

The display varies by model but the functions are the same.

The selection is made by the up and down buttons on the end of the right hand stalk and a quick press of the button on the bottom of the stalk will change between memories one and two. A long press on the bottom button will erase the memory in use.

basically, memory one is a short term memory that is reset when the engine has been off for a period of time. Memory two is a cumulative memory and is not reset until memory overflow occurs.

Your display is showing that memory one is use and the clock symbol is showing that the display is of time; one hour and twelve minutes in this case as the trip(s) time the engine was first started on that day. The trip miles looks like it has been reset manually or the engine ran without moving.

There are many other things you can read using the end of stalk buttons. Some things such as engine oil temp or only available on certain models or model years.

Take a look in your driver's manual or download one from the sticky link above.

Here is relevant page from my manual:-

The multi-functional indicator is equipped with two automatic memories. The se- lected memory is displayed in the middle of the display field fig. 5.

The data of the single-trip memory (memory 1) is shown if a 1 appears in the dis- play. A 2 shown in the display means that data relates to the total distance mem- ory (memory 2).

Switching over the memory with the help of the button B fig. 6 on the wind- screen wiper lever or with the help of the button D on the fig. 6 multifunction steering wheel.

Single-trip memory (memory 1)

The single-trip memory collates the driving information from the moment the igni- tion is switched on until it is switched off. New data will also flow into the calcula- tion of the current driving information if the trip is continued within 2 hours after switching off the ignition. If the trip is interrupted for more than 2 hours, the memory is automatically erased.

Total-trip memory (memory 2)

The total distance driven memory gathers data from any number of individual journeys up to a total of 19 hours and 59 minutes driving or 1 999 kilometres driv- en. 99 hours and 59 minutes driving time or 9 999 km driven in vehicles with an Information display. The memory is deleted when either of these limits is reached and the calculation starts from anew.

The total-trip memory will not, contrary to the single-trip memory, be deleted af- ter a period of interruption of driving of 2 hours. £
