There's a cable that's looped almost around the seat adjust handle on the drivers side of my Octavia RS.

It gets very annoying when adjusting the seat.

There's no side airbags so it can't be for that, but I can't figure out what it's for.

Heated seat connectors????

Seat belt bing-bong switch Jack the seat up, get in the back and see where it goes - if it is the one I think it is, disconnect it from the seat belt buckle and cable tie it back somewhere.

That'll solve 2 "problems" at once.

Agree with Goochie, it sounds like it might be the "boinger" as the heated seat wiring is only present if heated seats are fitted
