HELP! in limp mode with Glowplug light flashing

Featured Replies

Hi.

New to the forum but a BIG Superb fan.

Never had issues with any of my previous Superb's but the new one is a real pain.

It's an 2008 Elegance 2.0 TDi CR DSG Auto

It starts on the button and drives extremely well and then sometimes  the Glowplug light flashes and Visit Workshop comes on dash and it's in limp mode. Occasionally turning on/off helps but sometimes doesn't..

Had a diagnostics done and it says

Fuel pressure too High

Fuel pressure too low

Any idea what this could be!

All info / help will be truly appreciated.

Get it to a trusted local VAG specialist and get a proper diagnostic scan.  Could be any one or more of several faults - you need to narrow down somewhat.

Just my uneducated view, for what it's worth.

Hope you get it sorted without too much strain on the wallet.

Just going by the description I can think of a few possibilities but as silver said you need to get a proper diagnostic done.

High pressure fuel pump, fuel rail pressure sensor, fuel rail pressure control valve.

Thanks for the info.

Went to local shops this evening and now eml light on permanently.

Will have to have diagnosed again.
