Question, On my old 63 plate, Green vRS estate a very kind chap from here brought his VCDS along to a meet and enabled the remote boot to close too and turned off the annoying beeps.

I'm coming back to Skoda jumping out of the company car scheme, I'm looking at a 20 week wait.

I have just ordered a 245 this morning.

 

I haven't added any options as the spec seems pretty decent as standard. I have gone for a 245 Hatch in the standard red with red stitching. DSG of course.

 

Will be using it a daily however swapping between my 120d whenever I have any long journeys to do. I have also been told to expect delivery around March 2018

Good man. What wait were you quoted? I e got spoiled by all the options on the company cars so I went nuts on the list. I have most things except the electric dampers 

Ive been told 20 weeks and to expect it to be an 18 plate. Im in no rush, however after watching some videos over the weekend I really wish it wasn't 20 weeks...

 

Only ever had one auto car before and it was an 06 merc, so I guess the technology has advanced since then. The merc was very jerky.

 

I was tempted by the dampers but couldn't justify the cost

Same here, I was also told 20 weeks. Means I may be without a car for 3 months :/

The latest DSGs are a world away from the old autos. I also have been reading reviews and watching vids for new exhausts

It's a long wait but it will be worth it I guess. Is there anyway of tracking the build?

 

I cant wait for the DSG - those 'DSG Farts" sound incredible.

The dealer should send you status updates of what's happening. It usually goes 4 months of nothing the 5 weeks of activity. I am looking forward to the farts. I had a new TT S tonic (DSG) 230 petrol Quattro and the farts on that were comically loud. I hope this is close

 

Oh okay, just a waiting game then. What was fuel economy like on the 230 TT?

Mid 30s but I never drove it with economy in mind

This is my 245 fuel consumption (errrrr no, I can't call it fuel economy) with 2k miles on the clock

22.3?! thats not too good.

 

Oh well, they aren't designed for MPG are they!

There's still time to add them Jay, try them on mind at the meon hut meet & see what you think, make the car very civilised for passengers when you have to drive sensibly

Ha ha sod them! I want to lower it and maybe add some bilstein dampers too so I figured there was no point. I may change my mind after driving yours
