Ok, why would my wipers move down (more to the park position) after about 20 seconds after the ignition is turned on?  I don't think the is a fault, just curious why they would do that.  Used to own a Passat that did the same, any ideas?

I think it's to preserve the wiper blades by moving them to different positions every time, but I stand to be corrected if wrong.

I agree with Penpusher's answer.

It turns the blade so it doesn't park on the same side everytime.
