This pic is from our Golf Columbus system. I believe the satnav on S 3 reads the same way. My S2 superb Columbus reads top down, how you would read a book for example.

Maybe there is a way to change this? I haven’t found it yet.

Is it because your journey is shown going 'up' the map on the screen so the instructions are laid out in the same direction? That would be logical for me.

The system on Audi's does the same. You get used to it. You could always change it to show something other than manoeuvre or remove the extra  info box all together.

I can see that logic, but it’s the first satnav I’ve had for many years that does it this way. Had the golf for almost a year and still can’t get used to reading up a page rather than down as you would normally read.

i found it wrong at first too, as the Columbus in my MK2 Octavia read from top down.

reading it bottom up was confusing at first with the new Columbus in my Superb.
