Kerb Weight

Featured Replies

Hi All

So when I bought my yeti from the dealer it did not even come with a manual, service book and not even a sticker on the rear floor!!. I am trying to work out the kerb weight so I can work out the 85% for towing.

I have downloaded a owner manual from the Skoda website for my 2010 20 tdi 110 2wd model but don't see anything claiming kerb weight. I only see something in the tech specs as Unloaden weight ready for work which says 1420 kg. I thought the kerb weight was 1377 with the googling I had been doing.

Can anyone advise

Thanks

Is this on the vin plate?

Is there anything at the bottom of B Pillar Drivers Side?

Where is the VIN Sticker from the Spare Tyre Well.

Has the Yeti had extensive body repairs.

(Has the car had the VW Fix, and Sticker in the Spare Tyre Well?)

in my late pre fl adventure the book says 1700kg 8% slope and 1500 12% slope however petrol 1.8  max permiss gross wgt  2085,  kerb wgt with75kg driver 1660  hope this helps, but must admit the paper manual is a bit cr**py!

Hi

The dealer says no body work has been done (although we all know what dealers are like). I do have the plate as in the picture on the drivers door pillar but from what I remember these don't contain the kerb weight. It's def not going near the dealer for the fix.

From the Skoda website for the 2.0 110ps .

Weights
Payload with driver 620 kg
Total weight 1.997 kg
Towing weight braked at 12% 1.500 kg
Towing weight unbraked 720 kg
Total weight incl. towing weight 3.497 kg
Roof load 100 kg
Kerb weight with driver min. 1.452 kg
Kerb weight with driver max. 1.617 kg

On the bottom of the driver's side B post there is a black and silver sticker, with all the weights on.
From the top:

1 : kerb weight

2 : maximum allowed train weight (Car and trailer in other words)

3 : front axle weight limit

4 : rear axle weight limit.

-------------------------------------------------

Maximum unbraked trailer weight.

Hi Llanigraham

I thought the top figure was max weight of the vehicle. My figure 1 shows 1965

No, it is the "gross vehicle weight" otherwise known as the kerb weight

Internet is just so dangerous.

Gross Vehicle Weight or Revenue weight, max load allowable,  very different from 'Kerb Weigh / Unladen Weight'.

That's both ends of the spectrum in one!

"Gross vehicle weight" is the maximum allowable vehicle weight and "kerb weight" is the vehicle weight empty with perhaps a tank of fuel.

As you would say - NO WRONG!

Gross is everything. Use the weight on the V5c.
