Photos of Black vrs Estate with mud flaps

Featured Replies

Hi, does anyone have any photos of a Black vrs Estate with mud flaps fitted. Thinking of getting them, just want to see what they look like. Thanks.

I have literally the complete opposite - a White VRS 230 Hatch with mudflaps ;) - but happy to send photos as required

* Edit: I imagine you are looking to 'picture' it, rather than for fitment etc.

Just looking for a picture to see how they look. €28.93 delivered to me. Probably just order them anyway. If I don't like them no big loss.

OK, just ordered them. Front and rear mud flaps for FL 2018 Estate and Black touch up pen for the inevitable paint chips to my bonnet €37.77 delivered. Just have to wait until January now to fit them when I get the car .

Having fitted mine (on the lowered car) they've been brilliant. Nice and solid, made decent use of a zip-tie just for assurance, and definitely make a world of difference to splash effect on the side of the car from wet / muddy roads. I'm sure they'll look beasty on your new black wagon :)

I'll grab you a pic tomorrow as It's quite dark here already. :)  Got a Black vRS estate with mud flaps ;)

Thanks, looks well B)

Here's mine to show mudflaps with 19" wheels, the mud flaps were fitted by the dealer when I bought the car.

Hi could you post a picture of your car for me im thinking of fitting some to my White VRS Hatch

cheers Neil

Noooooo, sorry guys, I know the flaps help keep a car clean, but they ruin the look.

Mud flaps is Volvo Estate territory - it’s not where we should be with vRS estates!

They are deep, much deeper than my Kia flaps.. I'm going to fit front and rear then decide. Flaps on my Kia carens are just the right depth and make it look sportier.

Is anyone lowered and got mudflaps? Just wondering if there's any drag

Drag coefficient or dragging along the floor :tongueout:

My VRS isn't lowered, but I know for certain the mud flaps wouldn't stand a chance against some of the speed bumps around my locality. They're huge!

I had a look at them again and if they could be 2 inches shallower they would be perfect. The oems are designed for standard height octavias. I might have a set of fronts for sale then.

@negaultra7 I have this photo (which isn't great) but does show fitment of front and backs. Check out my cover photo on my profile for a slightly better angle (haven't had time / space to take some decent photos in a while).

Mine is lowered on Eibach Pros, and had no issues at all in the past 4 months - and my access road has 'phat' speedbumps all along it... which is a pain, but stops the yobbos (including yours truly) from careering along it.

As for drag, I've no clue - but they're not the traditional 'hangy'-Volvo Estate types of the 90's that @dunc69 has love for :tongueout:. The OEM Octy ones off Skoda Ireland have a decent low profile, do the job, and are sturdy AF. As I have a white hatch, the less mud that's flung onto it every day, the better!

+1 for Skoda IE; they're the genuine skoda ones at a good price; definitely sturdy as I've caught them a few times on high curbs and they've stood strong.

I could be interested if you do decide to sell the fronts.

I really like them. So, yeah, if I was in your position of a new car again I'd be purchasing them again - reduces the amount of road sh!t on the lower rear bumper. I've had mine on since my car was 6wks old

Did you fit them yourself? I’ve fitted them on my old car which was easy enough? Seen these on eBay same as yours?

Yes, rears we're jacked up and fitted. For the fronts I just turned full lock, one of the screws isn't fitted as I didn't drill into the body but they've stood the test of time 27ish months later.

That seems expensive.

Superskoda have them at €13.99 a pair plus postage:

Should work out a bit under £40 all in?
