Its on its way - getting excited

Featured Replies

Well a mere 5 1/2 weeks after ordering I got a call from the dealer. My car has been built and is on its way. Delivery probably end Nov / start of Dec.

I will be driving down to Ayr from Aberdeen after getting a large CarWow discount plus £4K from the scrappage of my 05 plate diesel Octavia II.

Any suggestions for pick up checks before I drive off ?

Spec is

  • L&K 2.0 TDI 190 PS DSG
  • Business Grey metallic / Black Leather
  • Temporary steel spare wheel (PJB)
  • 3 spoke leather Multi-function steering wheel with DSG paddles (PLE)
  • Wireless phone charging with Bluetooth+ and Wi-Fi (PT5)
  • Heated windscreen washer nozzles (9T1)
  • Rear-view parking camera (KA2)
  • Variable boot floor (3GN)
  • Waste bin in door panel (3LE)
  • Rear backrest release from boot (UK3)

And yeah I'll be regularly doing regens on the DPF but I like the way the 190 drives compares to the petrol 220. Also

Also comes with 5 years extended warranty and due to the scrappage deal a free Skoda 2 year 20000 mile service plan.

Cheers

Congrats you will enjoy it, its a beautiful car especially with the L&K spec. Never mind the naysayers, the 190 is a nice car. Interested to know more about your opinion on the difference with the 220, don't have that option here in Ireland.

I drove a 230 Octy VRS DSG as a comparison - noisy and unrefined even in non vrs mode - not a patch on the calm quiet 190 PS diesel spotline I test drove. Been driving VAG group diesels for  >  15 years though.
