Columbus and Spotify

Featured Replies

Hi all, I’m considering an order for a 245 with Columbus option. I wondered, can someone tell me how Spotify integrates, if it does with Skoda. I was used to running it through my bmw which has now gone, but am curious as to how it works with Skoda.

Also are there any options that anyone recommends?

The columbus control of spotify is poor.  You have to set out your playlist on the phone and then you can play and skip tracks on the playlist.   Even fords clunky Sync 3 system has better spotify integration.   Alternatively, connecting the phone to Android auto/apple carplay will give full control of spotify and you can play it and still go back to columbus main software.  The only thing being it has to be connected over usb.

This..

Think of using Spotify thru blutooth like driving around in a glorified speaker. Using carplay/ android auto gives much more control

Spotify is great on android auto...as are all of the music/podcast apps on there...

You can also use ok Google to control Spotify via voice control on the android auto app

I haven't used the standard interface for media or navigation since I installed it.
