I like the idea of that mod. Have you fitted it yet and if so are the lights on the switch the same kind of Green as all the other switches?

That looks like the wrong switch for a MK3 Octavia, the "knob" is too chunky.... 2nd video vehicle is a MK6 Golf which would be equivalent to a MK2 facelift Octavia.

The idea of a stray wire on my dashboard permanantly would annoy me!

I did this mod to my old Tiguan and it worked perfectly, I stuck the sensor between the dash and windscreen so I couldn’t see it. 

So has anyone done this mod on the MKlll?
