What oil are people  using in their VRS TDI and how much does it take? Mine is out of warranty now and I'm going to service it myself.

Anything that meets VW 507.00 specification.

Nonrev.   Lots of opinions on this - particularly on price of the recommended lubricant!   I have suspicions that if your car is a TURBO and you want a long life from the  unit you would be VERY wise to pay the extra, and change it at least 10,000 -12000 intervals.   There have been some turbo failures at low mileages in the past,  and I think this is the sensible option.
