Hi I'm new here and have very recently purchased my first (used) Skoda. A 2014 (September) Skoda Fabia 105 DSG.

On looking through the owners manual I see a reference to an "Clutches of the automatic DSG gearbox  are to hot warning light" symbol. But I'm not clear where it would show if it came on. In the rev counter warning lights, the speedo ones or in the Maxidot display itself. On turning on the ignition many other warnings lights show as is usual with any car, until the engine is started, but not this one.

So my questions are. Should it show when the ignition is turned on, like others do. If it came on during driving, where exactly would it show and is hot clutches with DSG's a common problem?

Many thanks in advance,

Philip

Welcome.

It would show a light that looks like Gear Cogs i think, & some will also have the Warning message.  see below.

this does not show as a Test Light on turning ignition on.

Overheating a very uncommon fault.   But then most faults are not common except where Skoda/ VW never did much about them.

So 2009-1013 had Service Campaign '34F7' & a World Wide recall,  and 2013-2015 a Skoda Secret Service, need to know Service Campaign.

..............

So as an aside.

Check with a Dealership or Skoda UK Customer services maybe and see if your DSG should get Service Campaign '34H5' a software update.

This is for some DQ200 DSG from 2013-2015

Many thanks for a swift reply, impressed.

Thanks for letting me know it doesn't show as a test light on turning the ignition on and its a very uncommon fault. Though I still hope to find out where it would show if it came on.

I'll look into the software update.

Thanks,

Philip

EDIT.

Picture posted now shows where it shows. (Shows Exhaust Emissions Control light as well, just the 3rd amigo missing, EPC light.)

There are owners and members here that have had Software update '34H5' on late Mk2 Fabia, and new Mechatronic Control Units fitted on the last Mk2 Fabia vRS.

Overheating or pressure issues with the DQ200, others have not had any issues and not needed the service campaign work.

Checked with Skoda online chat and they said this.. Thank you for waiting, that service campaign has been processed and the work carried out. There are no outstanding campaigns for the vehicle.  Good news

Good.

Have a look in the Spare Tyre Well and see if there is a sticker next to the VIN sticker showing when,

and be sure to get a Print out from a Skoda Dealership or Skoda UK of your cars Service History, Service Campaign and Warranty History if

you do not have this, and if you are interested in having it.

'34H5' does not show here even when outstanding, '34F7' should for anyone interested.

Bump for someone that has this issue currently.

There is the pinned thread at the top of the page as well on the DQ200 Service Campaign. '34f7'. 2010-2013.  then 2013-2015 '34h5'.

The diagnostics for the lad's car, a 2010 cave, are showing Gear 3 and 4 upper limit, low oil level, and fluid can be traced leaking from the breather.

Thankfully he does have warranty, but they are looking to limit the claim amount. Never had service campaign, though he has asked several times about servicing the gearbox.
