Budget - VED review

Featured Replies

Reading between the lines I believe any currently registered diesel should have no increase in VED after the budget. However, any vehicle registered after April 2018 will be subject to new Real World Tests (RDE) that measure NOX levels. If they are outwith the 80 mg/km as tested they will face an increase.

Doubt if there will be any Yeti's unregistered by then (and who knows they may pass).

This is my understanding - any thoughts?

Include the RWE test in the annual MOT (using the VIN for relevant compliance standard).........that’ll concentrate the mind!

I suspect it depends on there being a will to make the test relevant as opposed to appearing to be .
