Autolocking/unlocking stopped working

Featured Replies

I noticed today that the car hadn't locked itself when I was driving. I checked the settings and the option is still ticked. I can only think it's related to the other day when I was in a car park, unlocked the doors manually via the physical button to let a passenger out and locked it again when they got out. Is there some state that the button needs to be in for it to work again? I tried pressing the button again today to lock it but when I stopped and took the keys out the car stayed locked.

Manually locking or unlocking the doors shouldn't affect the auto-lock function. I do it all the time. Without stating the obvious (?) did you try unticking the option, going back to the home screen and then going back into the menus and ticking the option again? A sort of 'turn it off and on again' to hopefully jog the car's memory. All modern cars suffer bugs and gremlins, it's the nature of the (overly technological) beast. If that doesn't fix it I'd mention it to the dealer.

I didn't actually try turning the option off and on again. I'll give it a go.

With our last car I posted on a forum about an issue and got a right roasting for suggesting that a new car could have a problem. Glad to see Skoda owners are more realistic.

Went back into the settings today and the option was magically unticked. Ticked it again and all back to normal. Tried manually opening and closing and it still worked ok.
