Anyone else spec the heated steering wheel?

Featured Replies

Had a chance to check this.

My infotainment always shows the same whether the heated seats are on or off. No option for the seats or the wheel on the screen.

Not bothered if i dont have one but would be nice, and the garage shouldnt have sold it saying it had.

Photo to show it. I take it there should be the option to control the seats from the screen? Any ideas on how to enable that?

At the beginning of this winter I disabled the heated steering wheel and removed the operational buttons to the front and rear heated seats. In hindsight it was a silly idea to have ordered them. Minu

A heated steering wheel. One of those things you never thought you needed until you had it.  Unless it’s a Range Rover, in which case, you have it, and you need it, But it doesn’t work.

I've just taken a few photos to show what I see.

This is the graphic which overlays when the heated seat button is pressed.

This doesn't come up automatically but does show the heated wheel status in two places. I didn't think to see if the yellow wheel icon allowed controllability though.

Wish I had a heated steering wheel :-( I would be almost tempted to give up the exhaust flaps.... Trade anyone ?

I don't have heated wheels otherwise I would have traded with you so I can have FOUR exhaust flaps on my car.

Joking aside, I had a rental once with heated wheel and it's bloody nice...

It does 👍

You mean 97% of the bits from Range Rovers have fallen off and left on the road?

I never had a graphic on the Columbus with the seats. Just an indicator on the dash; might be a facelift thing though? However that was until a little over a year ago when it stopped working altogether. Had a new steering wheel out of it under warranty (just before expiring) but tech reckoned if Skoda wanted to dig deeper into found I’d been using VCDS then they might void the warranty.
Tech was a bit vague on the phone but I think he said the system was feeding back that the wheel was over temp and so auto-switching off permanently.
Found on VCDS that you can set the shut-off temp but it’s at 50c and can’t be set higher.
