Superb 111 clock

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have just purchased a Skoda Superb  111 SE . L  the one with the new touch screen (9 inch)  latest 2017 model

lt has a Columbus sat nav.

My problem is how to show the round time clock on the main screen

l have set it numerous times and it appears but when l switch off the engine and start again it’s not there.

l tick the boxes only to find that they have unchecked themselves again is there any way to keep the check box ticked

I thought it came up when you turned the unit off, I think that's the only time I've seen it.

Yes that's right when you switch it off or standby

but when l go to the menu and tick  the box to show the clock its okay until l take out the keys and the switch on the ignition then when l return

to the menu l find the the clock tick box is unchecked

ls there anyway to retain the memory

JR RS there is an option on the new 9.2" Columbus to show the clock when the unit is on... Go to touch the screen and it shows say the radio view. Not tried it out properly... I'll take some pictures of the options.

Here's an image of the screen options. As well as the switch off screen option there is not the Display Clock When Screen is Off.

Like Geome, mine does not have Switch off screen selected when I restart the car.

Ok so it’s not just mine then it must be a software fault.

I wonder what the older Columbus does with this option? Not that it can display the clock when the screen is off.

Amundsen has the same option, it turns the screen off 10 sec after you activate the option but only the screen and not the infotainment system itself, wakes the screen as soon as it detects your hand move towards the screen. Is not a setting that is saved as I believe it is an as needed function.

Two options to show the clock:

1) When screen off in 10 sec is selected, you can show the clock or a blank screen. Option only available when "off in 10 sec" is activated.

and

2) Show the clock when the infotainment system is off. (Separate setting)

It is working as intended as far as I am concerned but not quite sure of its uses.
