Mine has WiFi ;)

@craigandrew - if you have one of the latest 3C8 035 730 D or E Bluetooth modules they have a WiFi antenna built in. What's the problem you're having?

Yes I have the same module now after changing my old module so maybe it needs programming via vcds???

i have one of these camreas fitted in my car http://www.thinkware.com/Products/Dashcam/F800PRO but need to connect to cars wifi

You'll only get WiFi if your using an rSAP enabled phone.

Why does the camera need WiFi? Normally, I'd only expect it to be used to configure the camera or download clips, in which case, the camera would normally broadcast it's own network for your phone/laptop to connect to.

hope that make sence, my iphone dose not like BLUETOOTH WI-FI HOT SPOT MODULE FÜR VW-SKODA 3C8035730D ie rSAP

An iPhone won't support rSAP so the car can't make a WiFi hotspot as it won't have an online connection.

You might be better with a MiFi style device, even then you'll struggle to get car park collision notifications as the MiFi won't be on when the car isn't...

I’ve brought a NETGEAR AC790-100EUS Aircard Wi-Fi Mobile Broadband Hotspot with Super Fast 4G+ LTE, Portable Car Wi-Fi Unlocked (Built in Charging for your Smart Device and SMS Messaging)

from our friends at amazon??? As it has a built in battery and you an set times for it to turn on and off.thats if I read neatgear pdf manual right at 1am in the morning,

Don't know if were are on the same subject but I can monitor my blackvue 650s-2CH ( Front and rear cameras ) from my iPhone 8 plus Via wifi and over the cloud. ( phone needs any wiFi connection for the cloud )

The front camera is wifi enabled and also feeds the rear camera, I connect my phone to the dash cam  As I have Normal/Event and Parking mode the Dash Cam is giving 24/7 coverage. In parking mode it goes to sleep and is woken up by a proximity sensor and records for a minute ( Both front and rear )

I can be sat on a beach in Spain and look out of my cars windscreen if needed.

the probblem i get with my iphone 8 is i need to turn the hotsop on and off everytime i get into the car which is really annoying . thats why i brought the neatgear aircard so the thinkware f800 pro connects to that ,

if that makes  sence:sadsmile:

Is the Thinkware F800 WfiFi enabled. If so turn it on and then go into your phones settings > WiFi open it up and search for networks. The Thinkware WiFi will show on your phone, just connect to it.  Once connected go to the Thinkware app on your phone and you can control the dash can from there.

Just to add, Once you have connected the Thinkware WiFi to your phone, your phone will automatically connect every time you get into your car providing the Thinkware WiFi is turned on.

The Thinkware WiFi shuts down and then ask you to connect to your personal hotspot.to do this I have to turn on and off my personal hotspot every time I get into the car . That’s what’s annoying me,

No your not brain dead, it's Christmas. You can't connect to the dash cam if it's turned off/shut down. Even a WiFi dongle wont connect to it.  My set up is recording 24/7 therefor it doesnt shut down. I have a Power Magic box fitted to prevent battery drain. If my car is stood for a few days the battery is fine.

Can your's be set for 24/7 recording ( on all the time )

Ah right I have two cellink b external power packs on mine (cost stupid money) but my car has only been doing short journeys lately backwards and forwards to local hospital so probably not enough to charge up both power packs.

i normally have it set with parking mode on . And obviously power constant when driving, been a long day :sleepy:
