Best exhaust system for octavia mk2 fl vrs

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Any recommend any nice sounding exhaust systems. Don't like too much noise but louder than standard would be nice ☺

I used one of the dealer networks that make up custom exhausts. They are all handmade taking around 3 hours. They seem to be part of a "Longlife" franchise that weld together stainless steel exhaust parts to the spec and sound you want. Although I made a long round trip of about 400miles, I used Tony Banks of Leeds, as he had brilliant reviews on their standard of welding. I found the one they first made up for me was a bit too loud, I am old, so I went back and they adjusted it. It now sounds perfect. Quiet at a steady speed but sounds great between gear changes and when coming off the gas. It also has a nice burble on tickover. You can choose the exhaust tips you like. I went for similar twin round chrome tips, just a little larger. The cost was around £360. The same "Longlife" exhaust put together local to me, would have cost about £200 more, another good reason to go to Tony Banks. Leeds might be too far away for you, but maybe there is a local Longlife dealer in Scotland.
