Hi. Anyone else buy the cheap as chips aluminium roof bars from lidl? Went to fit my bike carrier and the 'standard' 20mm track bolts (with the square heads) arent standard after all...

 

what is your query ?

At a guess, he's wondering if others have purchased and have the same problem.

There are no fittings available to attach my bike carrier as all the t tracks seem to have a 20mm square head which wont fit the 14mm track.

Anyone else bought similar and what was your solution? 

I've ground down 3 flat headed bolts to fit but I'm a bit concerned about the minimal 3mm overhang being strong enough. 

Get what you pay for I suppose but these dont seem fit for purpose

I've bought one of these Lidl sets. I think they are pretty decent for the price slot. Usually, the bike racks that go along this price range will wrap around the aluminum profiles and ditch the rail system - yeah, I'm not adding much to the conversation, just mumbling here ;-)
