Petrol or diesel?

Featured Replies

Hi Vag and thanks again for the info...if I do "return" to diesel I will look out for a post 2015 2.0 ltr..(assuming i can find one!!)..I presume all Euro 6 Yeti's will need adblu?....any idea how often you need to refill the adblu? ... I will google the cost..

many thanks

I think for most of us it's around the 4500/5000 mile mark. Search for Adblue threads.

Unless you do loads of miles the cost isn't worth worrying about. Best way is to get the VW 10 litre bottle and the VW filler tube which has a one way valve in it and it literally takes minutes and no spillages.

Before we knew about the filler tube some of us were using the VW 1 litre bottle and refilling it from a 10 litre bottle. Once you have the VW 10 litre bottle and tube you can of course buy the Adblue from anywhere but the VW stuff is reasonably priced anyway.

I had no trouble with a 10lt Halfords one. It comes with a refill hose which stops running when the tank is full.

Using this it works out about 0.13p/ mile.

I am going to look into refiling the container, once empty, where the truckers buy their adblu from a pump as I read that it is about half the price that way.

Looking to replace my aging and untrust worth Golf (so much for their rep) with a Yeti ....

Presumably you're unaware that the Yeti is actually based on a Golf? Underneath the skin they're actually very much related.
