Leaving home light

Featured Replies

My Octavia estate 63 plate has leaving and coming home lights. However recently the leaving home function has be one tempramental. It seems to work after a number of attempts, it is dark and the coming home lights seem unaffected. I have played around with the settings in the MFD but it still seems to playing up. Any ideas?

Being an old timer I think of flat batteries all the time. Spent many winter trying to conserve failing batteries in winter conditions. My luckiest start was in the snow after a cold overnight stop. My 850 Mini was barely cranking over. I removed one spark plug and it luckily fired up on 3. Screwed the plug in with engine running. Well I was stranded otherwise.

So use of headlights etc. without the engine running gives me flashbacks.:crying:

Hope that you get your modern day problem sorted.

More than likely a flat battery or below power battery . Mine does it and when it happens I put the battery on charge overnight and all's good. I also get the indication on the maxi dot.
