Headlights?

Featured Replies

My headlights are awful, can hardly see in front of car unless high beam on!

I only need a pair at a reasonable price (Genuine or other recommended set)

Anyone bought any recently that you can advise me about?

Hutchsrs50 is usually selling headlights. Give him a shout :)

I recently fitted a pair of Depo branded ones to my car. I paid £120 for the pair on ebay. I also have Osram Night Breaker bulbs in them and they are great.

@king_o what is wrong with the old ones? are the lenses just clouded over or is there another issue? You sure they aligned properly?

I have a set of HutchyRs projector headlights. Huge improvement over the OEM xenon's I had before. Plus they have a high/low shutters in them.

I think the reflectors are just wore and faded. They are quite dull also on glass and I have tried cleaning, but just as bad.

@king_o - It's hard to make a solid recommendation without seeing the old ones, but latest spec Osram Nightbreaker or Phillips high output bulbs are an absolute must for any QI spec reflectors or projectors.

Thanks lads

yeah im always doing headlights, PM me if you want any.

You can get them replated for £50-60~ both of em. Then just bit of fine sanding or polishing for lenses

I could supply brand new lenses for that price :) Free fitting at my place too.

Alright bud not trying to rain on the parade lol. The price is a estimate for replating both reflectors, not for a lens. Its cheaper for people especially if they are on a tight budget. As a student its a lot more viable for me

Don’t worry, it ain’t a competition :D

Running some 2000/2500 grit wet and dry paper then a cutting polish like G3 (or toothpaste for the budget’ers) will improve a lot of the issues, just wont be perfect.
