Battery dead :(

Featured Replies

Go to your motor factors and ask their advice, they usually have a few choices

Go for a Varta E44, they get great reviews and are well priced (at least here in the UK).

They are a Bosch S5 with expensive stickers!

Good Ah and CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) so an improvement over what was fitted at the factory.

I don't believe varta are any better, I had my varta battery go within 6 months on my new vivaro, 1 cell packed up and left me stranded

Were you able to claim under warranty?

or varta e39 which is the AGM equivalent 096 fitment.

AGM batteries appear to be a maximum of 70AH in the 096 case which is odd when they are reported to give mch greater power.

perhaps someone can enlighten us all?

They changed it under warranty and thankfully it was dead in my drive so not far to walk home ;-)

Bought 88€ (£78) Exide Premium starting battery EA770 77 Ah with 3 years warranty, didn't have 13mm wrench head so had to buy one, love when you have all other tools but just are missing one :D At the moment car works (Y)
