First annual service - best price?

Featured Replies

Coming up to my first annual service - what should i be looking to pay?

There are a couple of approved VAG service places near me which I'd expect to be cheaper than a Skoda dealer; i have used these before for an Audi i had and never had any problems.

Would be interested to know what is the best price people have paid.  I've got a 2.0l DSG diesel.

thanks

Is it a new car first year service?  372 day, 9,400 miles fixed.

Just call Henrys and see if they are doing it for £159 or less.

No point messing with Independents and avoid, Arnold Clark or Parks.

Variable service, 1 year after I bought it.  Approx 17k on clock.

Maybe you will be getting asked up about £250 for that,

so question what is being done more than a Minor / Fixed Service / Inspection Service.

Same Oil & Filter & Sump Plug, no Pollen Filter, No Air Filter, nothing more than the Road Test, Diagnostics check, Free Wash And Vacuum,

and health check.  Maybe none of which are done...

So no more parts / materials or need to ask for more money, same parts and labour.

Skoda does an offer of 1st two annual services for £279. Ask before you book

Best to ring around and ask. I got my first two services for £139. That's for the pair, not each.

That's a fantastic price. Did you negotiate it as part of the purchase?

I’m not sure to be entirely honest. I was playimg hard ball with the negotiations, and servicing came up in conversation after we’d agreed a monthly deal. This was offered immediately, so whether it was a promotion or just something to sweeten the deal, I’m not sure.

Thanks for the replies.  Due in 18 days according to the car display, so will phone around in advance.
