Hi Ozzy, if you're still looking for help let me know. I've just gone through everything there is on my own car so should be able to answer just about anything you need.... Famous last words!

OK. I put €15 credit on my SIM card. It doesn’t store any of my contacts. When I need to call someone, I have to enter it manually, ie my wife as I don’t know anyone else’s phone number, it says out of credit. Where is this credit disappearing to? I’m now out of my free year of whatever they offered.

So for the contacts, you need to put the sim into a phone and copy whatever contacts you want to it. Depending on your device (apple or android) you can get a simple step by step on how to do that. They'll solve your first issue.

For the credit, I suspect that it's some kind of data connection that's using it up. Even with a prepaid sim you should be able to view your usage online. Without knowing more about your setup, such as if you create a hotspot in the car, it's difficult to pinpoint where the credit is going.

The free year you're talking about, is that the skoda connect? The one where you got fuel price updates, news, traffic etc? If so, that's a service with an annual charge which wouldn't be against your sim.

Send on any follow up questions and I'll do my best to answer them.
