Polystyrene block visible through grille

Featured Replies

When washing the MY15.5 VRS. Why can I see a black block of polystyrene (same type as in boot spare wheel area) through the front grille? Is this normal to see it?

Have it on mine. Only 10 days old.

Impact absorber for crash protection.

I thought it was either energy impact or similar just looks out of place and cheap looking. Even a sheet or plastic to wrap around it would make it less obvious. Didnt have this in my MK2 VRS FL just a solid sheet of metal and full view of the rad.

Oh well another cost cutting exercise.

All is fine. It's ment to be there, as stated in previous posts. I had an Alfa Romeo Giulietta which also had black polystyrene behind the grille.
