clock

Featured Replies

When the radio unit is off i get just a blank screen.

Is it possible to display a clock when off as previous skodas i have?  or any options for a logo rather than a blank screen?

Help us out: what model of Kodiaq do you have?

Whatever happened to people reading manuals?

Standby mode

With the ignition off and infotainment (standbyMode), it is possible to display the time and date in the Infotainment screen.

Applies to Infotainment Columbus, Amundsen, Bolero
To switch the time and date display on/off, press the [MENU] sensor field and

then tap the function surface Screen Show clock in standby mode.

Applies to Infotainment Swing
To activate / deactivate the time and date display button [SETUP] press, then the

function surface screen Show clock in standby mode Tap.
The display mode can be changed by moving your finger sideways across the

screen (does not apply to Infotainment Swing).

Much easier to just ask on a forum obviously :)

I think OP was taking about when the radio (not the ignition) is off.  If so, It's a setting under menu, screen, "display clock when screen is off".

You get a nice analogue clock.

(All explained in the handbook.)

Discovered this by mistake recently on our Octavia Scout, a nice little touch.

There would appear to be two settings... not sure if there really are of if they really do the same thing?

Display clock when screen is off - Time and date display when the screen is switched off

Show clock in standby mode - Time and date displayed on the screen when the ignition is switched on and Infotainment is switched off

(EDIT)

"Screen off" mode
With the ignition on and functions Screen off (in 10 s) and Display clock when screen is off » page 138 enabled, it is possible to display the time and date when the Infotainment screen is switched off.

First option is for when you have 'screen off' (but infotainment is still on)
Second option is for when you have infotainment off

Ignition has to be on in both cases.

Thanks for replies

Had to do a factory reset and then the options appeared so ticked both options now have a clock in both conditions.

Will now read the manual to see if the clock is the only display option for screen off.

Too bad it'll cost at least £1000 to be retrofitted

Interestingly enough, the newest version of the manual from that link now includes information about the "digital instrument cluster"...

Available in some regions on 2018.5MY (since 11/17). Chances are it is one manual written in Chinese and then run through Google Translate for each region :)

Don't want to be pedantic... but isn't it 2018MY since 11/17, and 2018.5MY will be from 05/18?

My order (placed in December) certainly says MY 18 (but then I don't know if it would say 18.5 anyway). In other news, confirmed build week is next week... so as long as there are no transport delays (and I include my easyJet flight from Bristol > Newcastle in that!), I will be taking possession of Yogi Bear on 3rd March :D.

No, my fist Kodiaq was one of the first 2018MY with the new 9.2" screen

My second Kodiaq was built on 10th December and is a 2018.5MY

See this discussion about 2018MY change that came into effect in June

Pretty sure the ordering system doesn't show .5MY

My order form said 2017MY for the first Kodiaq!

Fair enough. Don’t really care as long as it turns up for the start of March!

You would have cared if you had got one of the last 2017MY with the smaller screen :) for the sake of a week or two.

Happened to me on the Octavia, I got one of the last build weeks before a .5MY change and missed out on Smartgate, but they did downgrade the alloys from Anthracite to Silver, so I gained on that one!

It will be well worth the wait - I'm struggling to spot differences between 2018 and 2018.5 on an identical spec vehicle - about the only thing that seems to have changed is the AirCare logo on the Climatronic and the speedo and rev counter surrounds are darker at night, which is a good thing because the illuminated numbers are clearer.

My car was built 23 October (week 43) and I have the AirCare logo.  Haven’t seen any mention of the MY18.5 until now...

I said the logo had changed if you read my post - it was plain text before, now it is like a wavy line font

MY18.5 - Sportline and Velvet Red available are 2 of the changes for the UK market. The .5MY changes are normally minor and cosmetic, it kicks in at BW45 or 46 I think.

I can hold the power button for a few seconds and the clock comes on and stays on until I touch the  power button again even when the ignition has been switched off and back on
