Its not Skoda related but thought I would share my findings with you all. A friend of mine bought a 64 Plate golf GTD and popped round to see if the car had any hidden problems as it felt flat on acceleration.  After a full scan and all admaps backed up I discovered that two codes wouldn't clear (Below). After poking around in the measuring blocks ect... nothing was obvious, so i thought I'll nose at some adaptions to see if something funny is going on, low and behold Transport Mode was active! 

 

Set the channel to inactive, the fault codes then were able to clear and it drives like a completely different car. Hopefully this might help someone in the future!

Was this within the 08-AutoHVAC controller? I've got the same issue with the auxillary heater showing an error on autoscan. Can't find a Transport Mode adaptation in that controller?

I recall seeing Transport mode Activate/ deactivate in the advanced section of VCDS. The section where you create an Admap if mem serves me right??

Not sure this would hell with your issue as I believe it’s for delivery/ delist transfers but stand corrected if this isn’t the case. 

I'd expect to see an indication where the total mileage is displayed on the maxidot. Just wondering whether there is a fault with the heater as I can't run any output tests on it.

@wg100 Check your central electrics adaptations admap, that’s where I found it. But as @RoboOp said there is an option in the advance section of VCDS, however I adjusted the adaption channel and there was no dash indication showing.

 

You want to check it’s active before trying to disable it. Not tell you to suck eggs here! 

 

I did some more digging with friends and ex VW techs and this is what they came back with:

 

basically the original codes you had refers to the secondary coolant water pumps, the newer vws and Audi etc have a different type of main impeller water pump that’s controlled by a solenoid which stays closed when the Vehicles cold or during dpf cycles etc. So it has one or two electric inline water pumps to pump the water round to work the heaters and give enough cooling to keep the engine cool. If a fault is recognised in either one of these the car will put itself in a low power mode to avoid excess heat. Apparently the pumps are becoming very common and you can test them by running an output test with vagcom and feeling with your bad as to wether there running or not. As the car was still in transport mode which is designed so it can be sat on a forecourt moving small distances and keeping the battery alive it shuts of all non essential electrical items including the secondary water pumps therefore the computer now puts it into low power mode as if the pumps were faulty to avoid overheating.
