It's been a busy week, so I have only just picked up on the news that the great American racing driver Dan Gurney has passed away. F1 and Le Mans winner in the 1960's. innovator of the 'Gurney flap' on the rear wings of F1 cars.

A great all rounder, but I think Autosport over egged their tribute to the "Greatest ever American driver". Petty? Foyt? Andtetti? Earnhardt?

Dan Gurney, a real nice bloke and a great driver.
