VW Up! GTI. 2018.

Featured Replies

Anyone interested in buying one.

Reliving their youth or just getting on with driving and having a car that is fun for UK roads.

Shame no smaller sporty car from Skoda than a Fabia (not sporty) and one with just 2 pedals from VW, Seat or Skoda.

  • They look fun   but £13k for a tiny car is abit much for me.    Theyll be good on the used market in a year or so imo.

  • There will be plenty to choose from if VW keep on producing them. 1 careful more mature driver, or dealership / media car and one private owner.

Me George! Agree with your sentiments, this old fart is  Waiting for my convincing test ,as and when.

George, Are you waiting for the 1.5 DSG (or manual for me)  - I wish ,but won't happen.

I really like the concept but can't see that it would be worth our current 15,000 mile Citigo SE plus about £10k

A subjective review by one of my favourite reviewers.

I do not see that as being TC off.

Maybe not off with the TC flashing on what looks like a good surface / conditions.

Look forward to seeing the 0-62 mph on OEM tyres, with TC on and any power / drive being cut,

& TC off on UK roads, damp not dry / warm / perfect conditions.

Re Thomas & his review..

Looking forward to him looking at the Primed / Rust inhibited for about long enough for them to be delivered and handed over but not properly Rust Inhibited and coated to stop cosmetic rust / corrosion of the rear brake drums until a year has passed drums in 3 months or so.

Hopefully some of the Mags will run the other small cars @ around ££12,00-14,000 new with Sporty Small Turbo engines alongside the Up! GTI.

ie, Twingo, Ignis not Turbo 1.2 Dualjet & can be Light Hybrid, Adam, 500, what else have you ???

(Adam can be had with up to 150Ps for more money as with the 500 Abarth 183ps, they being hot Hatches, not just warm ones.

You can get a New 138ps MINI for £14,000 with a good deal.)

Seen the Up GTI on the grand tour recently and it looked good, James comparing it to the mark 1 gti.

Do not take much notice of the standard up but I do like the gti version.

One of the first reviews on UK Roads around Cheltenham.

Ok I was at my dealer this morning and noticed a FR Line Mii today, looks the part till I looked at the engine 60bhp 1.0 mpi. Think that would be a hoot with the 1.0 tsi engine from the up gti

Totally agree with your comments.

Another early UK drive review.

Just knocked one up, similar spec minus the sunroof but with cruise and parking sensors. Looks good in Grey/Silver with a black roof.

Fantastic FUN 5 dr hatch.

Doesn't really need words

I wish George, no back home in Wiltshire ,just booked my test drive for a couple weeks time in a 5dr.

I am liking this motor very much and it's bringing out the kid that still exists in me.

I see from the Skoda Press release on the Face Lift Fabia with 1.0hpi / 1.0 TSI petrol engines only, that there are Gasoline Particulate Filters.

Does the new Up! GTI have GPF's does anyone know?

If you would like them to call you to discuss a deal just enter your details below.
(requests for quotes via email not possible unfortunately.) Discount prices held for orders in the next 7 days only.

Maybe in a few years as a runabout. Quite like it as a concept.

Just been informed by a VW dealerships offering Carwow discount, that the factory lead-time of a very Well spec'd car is 4months,from placement of order.

Seems like it's going to be very popular.

Just been chatting to a VV Dealership in the North of England who does Carwow discounts as well and he said currently ordering 3-4 a day so expecting lead-time deliveries to increase aftter this week. He offered me £1059 off for cash or £1559PCP.

George,

I believe the answer is yes and I think it maybe the first VW to have it.
