Spare wheel size

Featured Replies

My new 1.5tsi SE technology doesn't currently have a spare wheel just a tin of gunk and a compressor, it's on 205/55/R16 tyres.

I've seen a space saver for a yeti 195/60/R16 advertised on gumtree, does anyone know if this would be suitable to use as a temporary spare for my car?

Thanks

As a temporary spare yes, no problem.

Not a criticism but why buy a new car and not spec a spare wheel - space saver or not - it's only £100'ish on top of the thousands you have just spent?

Great choice by the way the 1.5. I'm very pleased with my 1.5 SE L DSG.

The car is on pch so any extras that I purchase would have to go back with the car at the end of the contract. If I purchase the wheel( and kit separately), I can either transfer them to another car at the end of contract, or sell them on.

And you are right about the 1.5 being a great choice, I'm really impressed with it.

Just make sure the Yeti spare is 5x112 fitting, not sure what the yeti runs.
