im looking at getting these brake pads for my 2009 Octavia.

Unfortunately 'your basket' doesn't appear to be a shareable thing.

Check the PR codes for your car. They are on a label in the spare wheel well and in your service manual if you have one. Then cross check with PR number under "Fitment" tab of Euro Car parts description.

Often the front brakes PR code is not listed. Then ask skoda dealer spare parts dept for it. 

 

I simply match the photos with a look at my discs/pads on car and cross check the disc diameter too.

 

ECP will refund/exchange if you get the wrong ones, (provided you didn't try to fit them)

 

I had the same issue for my car, ordered the first ones you linked but ended up needing the other set. ECP just exchanged them for me.

Where about in the service manual as I cannot find them?

I meant the service record booklet, the one that has the dealer stamps. Its on a sticker on the inside of the front cover where first reg details are written.

 

You may not have this booklet as its become optional since service records went all electronic. So try the spare wheel well, or your dealer.

 

I find visually matching and measuring works for me.

 

 

All sorted now ended up ringing Skoda and they gave the the disk sizes what matched up to the pads on Euro Car Parts. around £29 for front and rear pads inc delivery.
