Octavia and fatigue sensor

Featured Replies

Hello all,

i want to ask about indication for fatigue.

is there any possibility to be activated on after market vehicle.

i mean on Octavia Mk3,2014?

What model / spec Octavia?  my 2014 vRS  has ‘take a break’ warnings but seem to show after 2+ hours driving and then not always (to be honest it’s rare I see it come up and I do over 35k miles a year with long runs). Do you know your car certainly doesn’t have it already?

My Octavia is 2,0tdi elegance. 02/2014

i try to found in maxi dot or in media, but not found anything.

So I suggest, i don’t have it.

Have a look in the VCDS thread stuck to the top.

It isnt an option you can enable if the car wasnt configured like this from the factory but you can probably program it via VCDS.

The "take a break" warning uses the steering Wheel input & driving time to determine if you are "tired" so it should be possible to activate on all O3s.

There are no special sensors or cameras for this feature as far as I know.

Thanks, will check it and will give a notice

I have it on mine and it works, as when I came back from a trans-atlantic flight and was tired it popped up within 30 mins of driving  (yes I did take a stop at the next services)

The take a break warning comes up when the car recognises erratic steering input, as in sudden steering changes as it perceives you may be tired.....it isn't necessarily related to driving time.

Officials Skoda says after 15 min. The systems watching for abnormal movement on steering wheel, but this is not so important.
