Hi all ,

I have an 08 Octavia mk II,

I’ve noticed recently when driving along it feels like the car sways from side to side. It happens occasionally. It more so feels like it’s coming from the rear of the car so maybe it’s something to do with the rear suspension set up. If anyone could shed some light on this I’d be greatfull ,

check your springs to see if any are snapped

Check bushes and shock absorbers.

As the problem occasional, does it happen on windy days ?

+1 on the broken spring check.

 

I'm in the process of replacing the front springs after finding a broken one while looking for the cause of similar handling issues, creaking on undulating surfaces were also a clue.
