Hi guys really stuck on this one would appreciate your help. Airbag light came on a few weeks ago, brought car to my mechanic and he diagnosed a faulty squib/clock spring. Got new squib from Skoda dealer and fitted, great light went out!. 

 

Unfortunately new fault popped up, right hand scroll button stopped working properly, I can use it to operate my phone but it will not scroll down to check data,or fuel consumption,time, settings etc. 

 

The new part fitted had a different two letter number at the end but apparently it's an upgraded part which should be compatible.

 

My mechanic is still waiting for Skoda to come back with with a fix but meanwhile I'm stuck.

 

Anyone else come across this before?.

Hi Eddie, you'll have to explain I'm a novice, what coding? I do know the numbers matched on the parts but the two letters on the end of the code were different.

 

Got a call back from mechanic, Skoda now say the car's software needs to be updated in order to accept the new part.
