Opinions about it aside, does this come as standard with all models or is it part of an options package? 

 

Mine came included with my vRS in 2014.

Its not big enough to hold my phone but the smaller iPhone fits nicely if I remember & its good for holding my work badge so I dont forget it each day.

My 11/10/17 vRS 230 came with this one, which is neither use nor ornament!

That's what prompted my thinking - I believe this is the updated one that replaces the version you have.  I've asked Skoda, they're decidedly vague about whether it's classed as standard equipment or whether it's an extra for SE Tech trim.

I agree.  I don't know if anyone has received the updated item in their car or whether the factory is getting rid of the old stock first.  I would much rather have received the updated one, I could have actually used that!

 

Nothing usual about Skoda not having an answer, is there? 

Barely big enough to slide a slab of chocolate in it, this accessory has been the least useful item in the car, particularly as I have my phone almost exclusively connected to CarPlay (either that or it remains in my pocket).

Came with my 245.... fits my iphone 6s fine but tired mates 7 in and will not fit.

The other hole for keeping your ignition key in (KESSY) is useful though if you don't want to leave it in your pocket.

 

Only problem with them though is if these two of you in the car & want somewhere to hold you coffee cups you have to take it out, therefor mine now lives in a draw in my kitchen
