(It’s not often I post in here, but this is the most appropriate place for this......)

 

Woke up yesterday morning to see that my neighbours bike cover had been left unusually on the floor with no bike in sight. I assumed it had been stolen. I thought the night before that it might happen as I heard the scrotes as I was watching tv in bed, poked my head out the window to see them jumping the wall out of our communal car park. Unfortunately, I could do nothing as I don’t know the owner or where he lives, just that he parks there every night and goes around the same time in the morning as I do. 

 

I was given a 125 Yammy by a mate last year that I had planned to sort and use to commute the 5 miles to work in the coming weeks. This was in the same car park as the one that got stolen the previous night. I had nowhere to put it last night so took a risk and left it parked between the front of one of my cars in my bay and my garage door. Woke this morning at 7:30 to find mine had been stolen. Not the end of the world as I’m not out of pocket, but annoying none the less. 

 

What’s made me probably the first theft victim in history to be made to laugh by such an event is that by the time I had realised what had happened the little scumbag had already been caught 200 meters from my house as they couldn’t start it due to a flat battery, and had assaulted a copper in the process  (the copper that took my statement this evening claimed that the thief had been given a bit of a kicking for assaulting a copper, but I think he was playing up to me) I called the old bill to report it at 1pm this avo and was told most of the above.

 

So, of course I’ve now given a statement this evening and told them about the night before (cops confirmed my neighbours bike had been stolen) and I feel much better about not being able to do anything about the other guys bike being stolen when I suspected it was being scoped out.

 

Not often you’ll read a police related good news story on here so through I would share it 

 

Not many good news stories where motorbike thefts are concerned, just normally ends in a crime number and subsequent increase in insurance premiums. Glad you got your bike back regardless of it costing nothing to you, it was still your property that someone else thought they’d just help themselves to.

Well i had no idea what this was when i spotted it.

A 2020 AJS and lots of rustyness and i liked lots.   (A bit of better painting or powder coating when new & before using one might be a good idea.)

 

I was totally surprised to see they are under £3,000.  

Tempest Scrambler. I have the Roadster version of the same bike, it's a lovely simple thing. Great for going for a potter down the lanes 

Now this one looks a little bit newer...

Brand new, never ridden.

It's great for pottering too. Gardeners love them.
