Sportline colour (lack of) options

Featured Replies

FFS what’s with the extremely limited choice of colours on the Sportline range?!  It’s like the first 20 mins of The Wizard of Oz!

Finally at a point where I can order a 280 and I can’t for the life of me settle on a colour. Velvet red would win if it wasn’t silly money and pushes me into high VED list price.

Dragon green, erm.....

That leaves me with monochrome and I really want to be brave enough to spec Meteor Grey without ever seeing it on a Superb but it could very easily go wrong at delivery time and this car has to stay for 4-5 years.

Black Magic looks mean and suits the Q car looks of the 280 but it’s a pig to keep clean.

I like the the white but not for myself.

It should be easier with 7 colours but they’re all just a bit meh

Diva moment over.

You're spoilt for choice!!!! When we ordered our SEL Executive the only options were Business Grey, Quartz Grey, White, Black, Beige or Brown.

If u like red, go for velvet. On the end of the day u will look at this car every day for next 5 years. Ppl trying to save penny's on colors and after few months they regret this decision. Superb im red look fantastic and defo not boring.

The trouble is as he has said it will push the car into the next VED band (over £40K) that equates to an extra £1,550 in VED alone... and then the extra £900 cost for Velvet red making nearly £2.5K just to have it in red... madness

I totally agree it's madness and there's no justification for the price jump. But...

If you break it down over 5 years of ownership, it's less than £10 a week. You could say that's a small amount extra to pay to be sure you're truly happy with a car you'll own and drive for this amount of time. However, like anything in life, £10 a week may not sound a  huge amount but if it's the difference between staying on top of your finances or not it may as well be £1,000.

Very annoying indeed.

What's really annoying is that the car can be built in 72 different colours, no problem, that's the choice in the Czech Republic and there is no reason that could not be the choice here.

Here are the colours from the Czech configurator.

you need to ask dealer for this option and pay extra for that. For other than SportLine this is availble in CZ configurator but no sure if can be purchased Special painting form CZ catalog to sportline.
