I'm thinking about getting one of these to keep documents in on a Europe trip:

Can anyone tell me how much space there is inside and some idea of what would fit?

Thanks for any help!!  Peter.

Do you not already have one of these under your passenger seat? I have my service book and manuals in mine which are in a little Skoda branded folder/holder thing.

You had me worried for a moment there!  I've just had a look and there's a door which when opened reveals a space to store the umbrella.  That's all that is there :crying:.

Ahh apologies, must have changed in the facelift!

Not a change for the better, then!  It seems like a lot of trouble and clart to create a spot for the umbrella which could go into the door pocket.  Sounds like your model variant is simply cleverer!  Thanks anyway!

I've got a pre facelift Oct 3 Scout and I don't have the under seat storage either but did have it on my Oct 2 Scout....

Nope, it'll be attached to the seat.

Unit on the floor is part of the Canton system I think?

i do have the Canton pack though so I guess that makes sense, could be an map or similar

My 2014 vRS is the same as Ahenners, the storage box Under the seat came as standard for putting the drivers hi-viz vest.

As the superskoda part is the official component I'd assume you would have no problem fitting it.

Ahhh

Do you have electric seats?

The part on Super Skoda isn't compatible with the electric ones in the 245

Hi.  It's the space inside it really I was concerned about.  The link doesn't provide any dimensions so I don't want to spend cash on something that's too small.

Incidentally, I'm passing through Switzerland in July.  I need to get my Vignette sorted before I go!  :)

No, just the manual ones.

Mine are manual seats also

I will try to remember to measure mine for you when I get back tonight.

For the Vignette you can buy directly at the border crossing or most petrol stations.

I have something under my drivers seat which is more of a holder than a storage box for the hi-vis storage, but also a storage box under the passenger seat which looks like the one in the original post. Is yours the same?

Hi-vis goes under my drivers seat and then the bigger storage box under the passenger seat is used for my service book, car handbook, infotainment manuals etc.

I fit in a wallet (the official black skoda one) exactly like this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-SKODA-HANDBOOK-WALLET-CITIGO-FABIA-OCTAVIA-YETI-ROOMSTER-ACQ-6118/162899690054?hash=item25ed940246:g:JN8AAOSwGllaWjwH

Which has all my manuals, service books etc. I'll be amazed if you have more documents than the thickness of all those combined. I can also get measurements of the box tonight if required :)

Thanks for that.  I would like the actual dimensions if possible.  I'm thinking that it would be good to be able to store documents there, out of sight and also maybe a camera and a couple of phones etc. if going on the beach.  I wanted to use the air-con facility in the glovebox to help keep drinks/sarnies cool so need to keep it empty for this purpose.

Cheers, Peter.

Just measured mine and usable internal space is 16cm length, 8cm height, 24cm width being able to shut the door on the front.

The black plastic thing on the floor with cooling slots in is part of the sound system. It's bolted to the floor. The storage box is on the bottom of the seat and moves with the seat.

Don't feel bad,not knowing.  when i went for test drives the salesman who took me  out in an octy didnt know what the canton sub box was in the back he thought it was a storage box lol
